So I seen thats its hard to get a sc-05 or any Elite reciever in that case.My local dealer says there getting rid of the elite line.Tell me it aint so tell me theres new ones coming as soon as I made up my mind on a reviever line they take them away.I really got interested in the Ice AMP and all the good things I have heard from it.

I dont know why they told you that. pioneer will be releasing the replacement to the SC-LX81 ( called SC-O7 in the U.S) in the U.K soon.

The SC-LX82

read it here. they are having money probs & are downsizing. i read that panasonic has absorbed most of their plasma dept. cant give you any links sorry. i read most of this here so you should be able to search the forums for more info.

this is why youre seeing the discounts on kuros & the elite line i belive.

I know they are cutting the Plasma production but there hasn't been any word of them cutting the Elite AV line

Pioneer plans to immediately end in-house development and by March 2010 will close down its TV business altogether. It's focusing instead on audio equipment and set-top boxes as well as car navigation technology.

Yea, I would be VERY surprised if they are to drop the AV line. I highly doubt they are.

their flatpanels are the only thing that are being cut for sure. Their factories will be closed by march of next year. However their future overall is unsure. They maintain that they will continue to make receivers and bluray players. Everyone at my work are still mourning the loss of such a bechmark peice.

They are listed as available on the Amazon website. But, I am not sure of the stores selling them and if the units come with a US warranty.

I have an uncle that just picked up an SC-07 for an amazing price but stock is getting smaller. My local dealer I use for Paradigm/Anthem told us that stock is low because they are expecting the new lines to be announced and shipped soon.

In a related story, that very same dealer is planning a memorial service for the day the Pioneer Plasmas are no longer.
