F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin - Blu-ray Forum

I have been looking around and I have heard from a few people that the FEAR games are fun. Looking at different reviews I get mixed signals about the game.

Does anyone on here have any experience with the FEAR GAMES? Would you recommend them?

FEAR 2 is a great game. I'd say pick it up or give it a rent! FEAR 1 is only good on the PC. the console ports suck.

I might get FEAR 2 for the PS3. Is it a long or short 1st person shooter? (In my opinion, Resistance was a good length of game, as far as a FPS is concerned.)

its close to R2...you'll be happy with the length....you'll get some jumps from it.

Just finished and sent back to gamefly. I liked the first better than the second. I liked the atmosphere in the first one but felt it was somewhat lacking in this one. Still an enjoyable game to play, with a decent story.

Atmosphere? Do you mean that the first one has more jumps and is scarier?

IMO yes. They seemed to be too predictable to me in the 2nd.

Im thinking of getting this ... now that its been out for a while ... anyone else have any comments about this game? Good, bad ? Hows it for trophies? Possible platinum? Still have online community?

The first FEAR game is the best, the second is decent but not as good as resistance, the first FEAR game is very bad on the ps3 the frame rate is way too low it was actually giving me a headache which is a shame because i really liked the game.

I rented it a while back and had a great time with it. Been watching so I can pick it up a a good price.

Its like $16 @ gamefly.com/store ... I got some gamebucks and can grab it for $12 ... hence the debate ... could also get Tombraider at that price.

u wont platinum... ulll aquire about 20 bronze and thasit.. the multiplayer is damn near impossible to beat simply because no one else plays it.. =/

FYI: I saw 1-3 PS3 games clearance-priced at the local Target/Super Target stores in my area, including Fear 2 for $24.98. I picked up Lord of the Rings Conquest for $14.98 from the same endcap. I think they might have also had one of the Rainbow Six: Vegas games, but since I'm sure the online community for that game has dwindled, I passed. Hope this helps!

Yeah I noticed in your trophies you had it .. and alot of them. Also noticed in the trophy list that alot were obtainable but alot of the online ones required alot of play.

Still, the demo was frickin sweet.

Yeah Im fully aware of the Target clearance stuff ... they got rid of Fear 2 at mine long ago ... thx tho. And as for Rainbow Six ... RBSV2 actually still has people playing online.

I hated FEAR 1 on the PS3 but I really had a blast with FEAR 2 on the PS3. I thought it was pretty long but fun.
