Default how much would it cost to repair a 1080P TV?

Does anybody know how much it costs to repair TV? I believe there is something wrong with my TV, quite possibly the mirrors or color wheels or a combination of my TV being too close and problem with my tv. I came to this conclusion when I took my ps3 and some blu-ray movies and watched them at my brother's house. The blu-rays looked somewhat better on his Samsung 61" 1080i tv then on my Samsung 61" 1080P DLP TV model # HL-S6167W. I've had problems with the TV since the begining as I cannot really tell the difference between Some blu-rays and SOME standard dvds.

I don't thnk I have a warranty.

Impossible to say because of the unknown (where the problem actually is). If the color wheel was bad, you'd know it. Basically, rear projection doesn't look quite as good as Plasma overall but if you don't feel you're getting all you should out of the set, call tech support at the manufacturer and ask a few questions like, "Why doesn't my Blu-Ray at 1080p look any better than my 480p DVD'? It's likely just in the munu settings but might as well go right to the source and see what the manufacturer says. That's what I'd do. If you draw a blank there, call a store that sells (or used to sell) that model and ask the sales guys if they know of any issues.

What's wrong with the picture overall? Have you tweaked the pic settings on the tv at all? Having certain things like the sharpness and brightness pumped can give a dissatisfying picture sometimes
