There's 10 spots. Both can fit.

let me re-phrase your question " which film have the materials for the "retards" to rate ... right ? shame for those who call themselves the members of the academy . In the last 3 years, they've acting like a bunch of idiots ... what a joke ...!!!

1+

They must be paid off. They keep choosing BEST films that bring waves
of disappointment to fans of film . . . I think the members of the Academy
ask each other . . "did you actually take the time to watch it? . . I didn't...
I had to go to a wedding two weekends in a row..."

So dumb...really . . . . .

2006 The Departed

2004 Million Dollar Baby
The only one there that would be controversial is Crash.

What's wrong with the way the Academy has been voting? Have you not seen any of those movies? They are all great films.

I think what's wrong is that TDK wasn't nominated, blah blah blah, etc.

Sometimes I think the Academy makes a weird decision or two, but on the whole I don't think they're doing too bad.

If you want an award show that glorifies popular movies... that's what the MTV Movie Awards are for.

That being said:

Hurt Locker -- Yes
Inglourious Basterds -- No

I have yet to watch Basterds but I did like The Hurt Locker a lot. I think with 10 spots it deserves a nod but if there were only 5 I don't think so.

I think Inglorious Basterds has a good chance of making it seeing as how there are 10 slots now...Of course the oscar movies haven't all come out yet - October through December =)

The should only be 5 movies up for Best Picture, why mess with tradition! I would like to see QT's film win BP!

The TDK and Wall-E are the reason there are now 10 Best Spots for film.

The Academy voters change every year.
