marantz AV 8003 question - Blu-ray Forum

Hi All,

I am building up my surround system gradually and would rather wait to have enough cash to buy a good 5.1 speaker set (decided to go for high end active speaker sets like PMC). So I wanted to ask if the Marantz pre/pro could be set up to mix down every source type to 2.0 or 2.1 in the meantime?

The Marantz 6003 got a glowing review for it's 2-channel music mixing, I can't imagine the 8003 would be anything less, if not better.
