Hi guys. Potential dumb/newb question here. I'm thinking about getting the new PS3 Slim for the holidays to replace my old unit. Is there an easy way to transfer my save game files, demos and other DLC from my old PS3 to the new one? If so, would u mind telling me how? Pretty plz.

Just run the backup that's in the GUI. You'd need either an external hard drive or a large usb jump drive if you've got a lot of stuff. When I ran it, I dumped all of my demos to save space since at the time I didn't have a big HD. I'm not 100%, but I think the drive you're saving to must be FAT32 formatted since they didn't license NTFS.

To check, right click the external hard drive/thumb drive in My Computer and click Properties. It should say there the "File System!" Additionally, FAT32 file systems cannot store single files larger than 4 GB, NTFS can. Any other questions just hollar! ![]() |
