What's your favorite "theme" music??

to branch off of the favorite "cool" sounds thread, that theme music gives you goosebumps everytime you hear it and gets you excited for a movie??

mine would have to be a toss up between Indiana Jones and Star Wars.

my wife rolls her eyes everytime i get to pick a movie we watch and she hears that music right away!!!

Star Wars will probably be the winner. I remember buying the Rocky soundtrack and using the theme on my Walkman to jog to. As I was a fat kid it usually got me three houses away before giving up and going back to my Atari. And that only lasted for a week before giving up completely.

Star Wars , Superman and the Raiders Theme - before they all came along it was the theme from The Magnificent 7 - still sends shivers down my spine.

anything with Hans Zimmer he is by far the best composer ever & and right behind him would be Steve Jablonsky (Transformers Score)... when i see these guys attached to the movie it gets me excited to see that movie right away

Good point. Being more specific I would say that 'Ben's Death/Tie Fighter Attack' ALWAYS gives me goosebumps listening to it specially when the kettledrums kick in.


And two others that I just though of is 'The Ecstasy of Gold' during 'The Good, the Bad and the Ugly' and 'Man with a Harmonica' during the final showdown of 'Once Upon A Time In The West'.

One of my favorite scores has always been in The Empire Strikes Back during the asteroid field sequence when the Millinium Falcon is trying to avoid the tie fighters.

Plus the majority of Top Gun!
