Default Your Most Disappointing Blind Purchase In 2009

Mine was X-Files, I Want To Believe. The Incredible Hulk was ok, but I think Iron Man was a much better movie. So I was a little disappointed in Hulk. Public Enemies was OK, but again, not as good as I thought it would be. I do enjoy the extras on it.

Drag Me to Hell. Out of all the blind buys I made in 2009, that was the only one I sold. I know a lot of people love the movie, but the movie just didn't do it for me.

Ladder 49

I thought it was such a good movie up until the very end. Never had I been so disappointed when it was over. The movie sits on my shelf having only been watched once.

This is mine too. This movie, for all the hype and love, just didn't work for me. I'll be shipping it off to Amazon or DVD Planet, which I go with next for buying used discs.

Lol that movie is so terrible. I barely finished it.

My worst blind buy was Public Enemies. Very disappointing.

Public Enemies for myself as well. Michael Mann's reputation is vastly overrated. I continue to be disappointed by most of his movies. PE had a stellar cast and still did nothing for me.

He is up and down for sure. I am one of the few I think that liked Miami Vice. And he produced Last of the Mohicans, a movie I would love to see on BD. But I thought Heat was way over hyped and probably on the same level as this movie.

Yep, Heat is another of movie of his that I dislike. There he really wasted an all-time great cast in my opinion.

The movie would have been better with more blue sausage. Less pretentious crap.

Drag Me to Hell. I just don't get the strong reviews. It was mediocre at best and the ending was ridiculously obvious.

Your Most Disappointing Blind BD Purchase(s) In 2009
I make alot of blind purchases and several are disappointing , but the winner for the most disappointing blind purchase of 2009 is by far and away ......District 9
.....the movie just flat out sucked IMO of course. The movie has many fans especially seeing how its at like 97 on the IMDB top 250 movies. I was actually surprised it was SO BAD.

I didn't enjoy Green Lantern: First Flight as much as the other DC Animated movies. Other than that, none of my blind-buys really let me down.

The Haunting in Connecticut.
What a sorry attempt at a "psychological thriller"

The best part of that was the extras that showed the history of taking photos of dead people back in the 1800s. That was interesting, if not creepy.

I agree that is wasn't as amazing as hyped. Definitely liked Star Trek much better. Did get a free PS3 demo game I haven't tried yet though.
