Arrow The Bigger The TV, The Better The Blu-ray Looks?

I have a Sanyo 32' that we use in the family room and it is connected to the PS3 and in the family room. I am thinking of getting one for myself but I noticed maybe if I bought a 42 or 52' bigger would the resolution of the image look better than when it is on my 32' Sanyo?

Don't know one person who's bought a new set who wished they had gone smaller.

If bigger fits, go for it!!

42 or 52 is fine for bluray, but if higher than 60", it isn't good, needs more resolution for finer dots.

That is such a HUGE lie and WRONG statement.

Blu-ray is fine with TV bigger than 60".
In fact blu-rays look so fine and beautiful projected at size of 150". I personally project on a 120" and blu-rays are amazing. The picture looks way better than my 58 Panny. I can see details I've never seen before on the TV.

Oh by the way, always go as big as you can fit and afford.
Here is my evolution:
21 < 27 < 42 < 58 < 120 <??? (maybe 150, only God knows)

It amazes me we still have people who've been here for years posting BS like this. Care to explain front projection? Care to tell all of the people with good 720p projectors that they need more resolution in order to have a better picture? Simply ridiculous...unles you sit with your nose 6" from your screen.

OP - Go as big as you can. I've yet to hear anyone say they wished they gone smaller.

I think the bigger the better. I have a Samsung 61A750 DLP, and I think the picture quality is better than most plasmas and lcds I have seen in the 46'' to 55'' range.

Yeah, the bigger the size, the more you notice all the little details, as long as the source is good quality (blu-ray).

I used to play Need for Speed Shift (PC) on my 37" LCD, and it was nice. But when I upgraded to a 54" Plasma, it was so detailed that I could see the imperfections in the asphalt. Very cool.
The only problem with bigger sizes, is that you really need to invest in a good upconversion solution for all the SD content.

I'm right now returning my 54" plasma for a 52" LCD. I hope I don't notice it as much. I just wish there were more full 16:9 movies, or more 21:9 tvs available. So much space wasted.

You are returning your 54" plasma for a 52" LCD?

Are you nuts? That's a step backwards both in size and PQ.

Well, I thinking 52" because that's the biggest size available for the B750 (Samsung). The problem with the 54" S1 plasma, is I just don't like it. Super-fast motion is great, and so is contrast, but that's it. Everything else it felt like a downgrade, and that's comparing it to a 37" LCD from Westinghouse (2006 model). I just feel like If I get a LN52B750 (Samsung 2009 LCD) I'll get something that is a direct upgrade from what I'm used to, in every aspect.

People say "but plasmas have great viewing angles", but nobody talks about internal reflections. It's uncomfortable to read white text under a black background, as the letters themselves reflect in the glass. And don't get me started in IR, it's worst than a LCD un-uniform backlight. I can keep on going on and on, but I'll leave it at that.
