Default Ruby Sparks (Oct. 30th 2012)

Wow! Can't believe this comes out on Tuesday and there is no thread for it.

I didn't even realize it was out but I saw copies out early at Sam's Club (DVD only).

I didn't catch this in theaters but will definitely pick this up.

It's a pretty good movie. Zoe Kazan is a treasure. Only complaint I had was with Paul Dano. I find him so mediocre that he takes away from all movies he is in. Also, the price needs to drop on this. It's a $15 max title.

I got it for $16.99 when DVDEmpire had a sale a ways back. Usually their pre-order prices are too high even during a sale, but I jumped all over this. I have no idea why the price is so high everywhere else. Mine shipped yesterday.

Another gem that gets no discussion is "Safety Not Guaranteed." I was shocked my BB told me they were getting it, so I'll use a $5 RZ to snag it for $17.99.

Finally ending one of the most expensive months in my blu-ray life. And that doesn't count the House season 8 UK version which just was released, but I'm waiting from packaging confirmation from another user, so I catch a break and get to order it during the slower "new release" month of November.

I agree about Safety. Fantastic. Only problem I had with it was when
[Show spoiler]Kristen Bell
showed up. Only because it came out of nowhere and was a little distracting. In retrospect, she was perfect for that part. Just the initial "shock" of it. I guess you didn't have a problem with that cause of

I do prefer Ruby to Safety. I love Zoe Kazan. I wish we could get Exploding Girl released on Blu. The DVD is good but maybe it would bring a new crowd to that incredible little movie. That was when I developed my crush on Zoe, but I fell in love with her in Ruby.

I'd say the

along with the

would be enough of a clue on that regard...

I'll have to get this. It looked good, I just never had a chance to see it since none of the theaters near me ever had it.

Wonderful film with great replay value. I'll be buying it and probably for others during the holidays too. Also, I thought Paul Dano was great.

I didn't really know much about this movie when the DVDEmpire sale was going on, so this wasn't one of my pre-orders. The prices for this now at Best Buy and Amazon are insane. I haven't paid as much for a movie in years and I don't plan on doing so now, but I want to see this soon regardless.

As for Safety Not Guaranteed, I'm glad to see Best Buy dropped the price a bit. I was going to pass and wait for a sale even though it's one of my most anticipated new releases left, but now I'll pick it up on Tuesday and use one of my several unused Reward Zone certificates. I can stomach the $22.99 price before the certificate for a movie I hope to have a ton replay value for me.

Hopefully this has a huge price drop on release day. Few weeks ago I ordered The Sound of My Voice for $29.99 and it fell to $16.99 on release day. Hoping this does something similar.

Wal-Mart has the Blu-ray for $19.99. Not sure what the deal is with the price at BB and Amazon.

Yes, I was just at Wal-Mart tonight and saw the Blu-ray on a new release endcap for $19.99. I notified Amazon, not sure if they will respond.
