Have these Disney movies been confirmed? - Blu-ray Forum

Not sure where this would go so I will put it in Wishlist. I was wondering if these Disney movies have been confirmed for blu-ray or are they just hopeful thinking.

Aladdin
Peter Pan
Hercules

I have seen nothing on any of them so far. But I think 2 of them would be not plat eds. So there is hope for next year on them.

Peter Pan should have a Diamond release sometime in 2013.

Hercules and Aladdin are not in the diamond line-up so its hard to say, although their are alot of rumours for Aladdin, maybe next year?

Rest assured they are many many more classics will come to Blu-ray over the next many years of Blu-ray's existence.

I thought you also meant their live-action. Pity you only listed the animated releases.

Disney Live-Action > Disney Animated

That's my own opinion.

Aladdin had been rumored for next year as some sort of special edition along with The Lion King and Bambi as platinum editions, but since that special edition of Dumbo got pushed until next year for its anniversary, depending on Disney's limit to special editions we may not see Aladdin until 2012. There's also that Alice In Wonderland rumor for this or next year which also hinders Aladdin's chances. I just want Disney to hurry up in general. I kind of understand their schedule from a business aspect but jeez at the rate they're releasing their 50+ animated classics, we won't see everything on BD for quite some time.
