I need your help guys with regard to getting a Satellite/Cable signal coming through my PC. I did it years ago with an add-on Hauppage product (forget the name), but I want HD signals now.
Here is my situation. I'll be moving in 2 months and will have Satellite service installed from Bell Canada and connected to my 42" Panasonic Plasma. I also want to connect this signal to my PC, which is a brand-new Dell Inspiron 545 with Core 2 Quad, 8gb ram, but only onboard Intel Graphics. My current monitor is NOT HDCP compliant, but I will get one to add to my setup. I suspect I will need a seperate graphics card to accomodate both monitors (nothing too expensive please as I don't play games anyway). What other hardware and cabling will I need to have my Satellite signal going to both the TV and the PC? John |
