Default HTPC options

im going to have a HTPC custom built... im mostly using it for an Audio server and or occassional internet accesss, the motherboard has an HDMI output on it.. im taking if i use that output I dont have to worry about getting a video card with HDMI or worry about high end graphics. im not doing any blu ray playback but I would like to make sure im covered.
