Trust me, if I had the extra money to buy a 1080p HDTV I would, but I don't, so I just have to grin and bear it until I can. My question is this. Is grain on movies, such at the Patriot, less noticeable or not seen at all on your 1080p HDTV's?
I purchased the Patriot Saturday night due to the stunning reviews in regard to PQ and while I will attest to the fact that it is stunning in 90% of the movie...the beginning sky shots on my 1080i HDTV showed the grainy or "1,000 mosquito effect" and just plain pissed me off that it somewhat ruined my watching of the movie for awhile. I noticed that, again, mostly in the beginning shots of the sky this grainy effect and it would creep up and now and again on shots that had a blurry background to them. Sorry, admin, I posted this in the wrong forum...if you could move it please to the correct forum. |
