Valhalla Rising - Blu-ray Forum

I just saw the review for "Valhalla Rising" and I really would like it in the States. Does anyone know of any possible release in the states for this movie? I searched the forums but to no avail.

No Clue I was wondering the same thing. I saw the preview about 7 months ago it looked amazing and now after reading the review of the blu-ray. I want this for the states.

Us Region A only folks just have to hope that the French release in July is Region A friendly.

Starts off Braveheart-esque.
Then becomes a wonderful montage of artistic imagery and ambient viking influenced soundtrack.
It was described as being "Mental Fiction".

I really enjoyed it and thought Mads Mikkelsen was excellent despite not saying a word.

It won't be to everyones taste, so be warned blind buyers.
The PQ on the blu is close to Young Guns, with "Jaggies" everywhere, this is on the Region B release.
I didn't check it properly, but it might have been 1080i.

I don't think that the quality of the presentation is even remotely similar to that of Young Guns. And the transfer is 1080p.

You didn't notice any jaggies?
The Young Guns reference was that the only other Blu Ray i have seen with Jaggies like that was Young Guns, not an overall comparison.

Watched this on Netflix Instant watch in HD, now I really want it on Blu-ray. I'm worried about it not working if I import it. I've heard it'll work on a Sony S350 but I don't want to risk it. Is there any word on a North America release yet?

Nice, I wasn't aware of a release in Canada, I'll look into it. I even prefer that boxart to the UK version anyway.
