Talking Ionic Breeze + PS3 = Dust Free!

My PS3 was covered full of DUSTS and I can't wipe this thing off, because it keeps coming back. I realized how people must clean their PS3 almost twice a week and got sick of tired of collecting dust for months. I was thinking about how to removed Dust from the PS3 without coming back. What I have here is an Ionic Breeze air filter that lets these dusts go away and keep the stuff clean and green. Anyway, I set the lever to High and went out to shop for hourly. When I came back at evening, I was shocked that my PS3 was fully dust-free and now I don't have to clean my PS3 anymore!

Where do you live that you would notice dust building up after just being away for a few hours?

I live in Vegas and you cannot imagine how dusty things get here. Even the insides of cellphones get dusty in a week.

Anything black will mercilessly show dust at the drop of a hat, especially electronics.

PS3, PC, and some of my other equipment... I've done everything I know how to do to try and minimize dust as realistically possible and I'm still not nearly satisfied with it.

This may not be a half bad idea. Got nothing to lose...

Are you talking about the ionic breeze that has been shown to do nothing?

I have not tried it on the PS3 and not sure it would work, but if you take some fabric softener (liquid) and dilute it in some water and use a cloth to wipe down whatever you can with it - it prevents dust sticking or buildup. We do this on our black furniture and it's a god send. We do it on anything that water/softener would be safe on.

Do not use fabric sheets. Might as well take sand paper to your stuffs. Lol.

The Ionic Breeze is a dud. I simply was making the general point that I'm at my wits' end with the dust that I'm halfway tempted to try it anyways. But I won't.

best way to combat dust is to wipe electronics down with a dampened microfiber cloth, I use the Monster Screen clean formula, works best, no streaks. Spray a light mist on the towel, and wipe down. I wash the towel every couple of week (do not use fabric softener or dryer sheets with it)

And the next important thing, Vacuum, vacuum, vacuum. You wouldn't believe the amount of dust that is on your floor. Don't believe me, empty out your vacuum bag or container then vacuum your room....wow only after a few days there's a ton of dust. Also, make sure your hepa filters are still good on your vacuum, this way they are trapping the dust not just re-releasing them into the room.

Next thing to get when you aren't dusting/vacuuming is one of these:

Get something with a replaceable filter, and that meets the requirements of the room (square feet). Keep up on the maintenance of replacing the filter as needed.

I had sever dust issues in my master bedroom, I now follow this regimen and while I still get dust, it's manageable and I no long feel obligated to name dust bunnies.

This part I've got covered, thankfully.

This I will have to explore further.

one tip I forgot, Annually (spring cleaning) Move furniture away from the wall and vacuum behind, also under couches/beds etc. You'd be surprised how much dead skin (dust) gets everywhere.
