I'll get it if and only if they did a high bitrate encode just for Blu-ray otherwise forget it. Knowing Warner I'm probably being way too optimistic.

Someone on another forum pointed out there are some titles showing for HD-DVD only (eg. Heat). Not that I think this list is 100% official, given some of the future releases, as well as the "New Format Test" title we can purchase

Dammit I am gonna be broke.

On the HD DVD list there's also:

Batman
Eraser
The Exorcist
The Green Mile
Heat
King Kong ('33)
The Promise ('06)
Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves
Speed Racer
Superman II theatrical version
The West Wing: The Complete Seventh Season

While that list is missing the following Blu-rays?:

A Little Princess
Phantom of The Opera Special Edition
Unforgiven Special Edition

If I read the concurrent titles correctly.

Not sure what all that means. As it says, the list includes some titles not even released in theaters yet.

By the way, isn't Harry Potter on HD DVD supposed to be a 2-disc set?

enjoy

My first thoughts exactly. That's a rental for me because I like the first release very much, with the exception of the audio maybe. That DD 5.1 just didn't cut it. Even though the movie is very quiet in many places, I'd still prefer the soundtrack in LPCM or at least DTS-HD.

By the way, bring on Batman Begins, Matrix trilogy, Twister, Falling Down, The Shawshank Redemption, Poltergeist, Clash of the Titans and L.A Confidential. They're to be purchased on release days.

The Dirty Harry movies are rentals to determine PQ/AQ before purchase. Being as old as they are, I hope WB does them justice. Also for consideration is Goonies. One of my fave flick when I was a kid.

This is the same leak out list we discussed already. old news.

Whatta crappy FUD-site is that anyway?? They seem to take it with full news value... i say its just a slip up until proven otherwise by warner...

Uh, think they just cut-and-pasted the same Warner-page list everyone else was buzzing about, removed the existing titles by hand, and forgot that UF was already out.

I prefer the news DigitalBits digs up on its own, to the ones it knee-jerk links without checking--At least they can't hastily misquote themselves.

You missed the part where it says; cut and pasted from given link: "And here's a list of the upcoming HD-DVD titles Warner has revealed (it's reasonable to expect that the few titles below not listed above are also coming to Blu-ray Disc).
In regards to the Unforgiven in might be the same movie with the extras that the hd-dvd camp loves so much, but weren't feasible on blu-ray before the java.

What gives you the idea I missed it?

I just posted that list so people wouldn't go blind trying to read the extra titles coming to High Definition Blu-ray Disc:

"It is still our plan to release everything on Blu-Ray that we release or released on HD-DVD" - Warner Brothers
