I agree with you there... I still remember getting my copy of the matrix on DVD and going "what the %@$# is this $#@@!". Of course that only lasted until I put the DVD into my player, then I forgot all about it.

Those cases were really bad.

I received my copy of Pans Labyrinth the other day (the German version in a steelbook) and I have to say it looks beautiful. Kind of makes me wish all the BDs come in a Steelbook now

A better or modded case would be a really cool idea. For anal collectors like myself if the case/insert is beat up I have to go get a brand new copy lol. Everything has to be mint

I have fantastic 4 right now with out a case and its driving me nuts

btw where can u buy blank blu ray cases?

The problem with jewel cases is that the plastic is too brittle... to me, that's a problem.

Cardboard is more environmentally friendly, minus the ink, of course. Don't hate. It ain't perfect, but I can say I like it for that reason. We can't grow plastic.

It's amzing how we still think. Do we actually have unlimited resources?

This is the mind of big business...we have unlimited resources until they give out.

But, hey, that's when the fun begins, right?

The problem is that they don't wnat to make chipboard cases because they're expensive, and hubs, that take a lot of wear and tear cannot be made durably from paper.
