Id say go with the Denon 1909, but then again I am a newbiee with this high tech world when it comes with recievers. I had a 7 year old Sony that did DD and DTS only. I had a Yammy 663 and to me it was confusing to read through the manual to setup. I was happy with the Denon manual and quality of the unit. The place where I bought this unit the sales guy just got done with the training class for the Denon 1909 and knew ALOT about it.
