Default Thunderbean in exile!

I'm sorry to see the long-running Thunderbean Blu-ray thread closed. I'll see if I can talk with the administrator here.

I think it's safe to say it was closed based on the back and forth arguments occurring there; let's attempt to keep things civil moving forward.

Thanks all. By the way, does anyone here know the best way to find/ contact the moderator/ Admin for the site?

Default ATTN: ADMINISTRATOR-possible to open back up the Thunderbean Classic Animation thread

Hi ADMIN---

I run the small company called Thunderbean, and have enjoyed being opart of the community here, posting mostly on the 'Thunderbean Classic Animation Blu-rays' thread. It's been a great way to stay in touch with customers and fans, getting feedback on what we're doing as well as a great thread to share information. Would it be possible to consider opening back up that Thunderbean Classic animation Blu-rays thread? An unfortunate exchange over this past day got the thread closed. Perhaps removing that last page with those exchanges would be appropriate if you allow the thread to open back up.

Thanks for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Steve Stanchfield

Steve I just want to say I am SO SORRY for starting up that madness. I didn’t mean to. I swear I just wanted to inform you guys about what I thought was a relatively lost piece of animation getting a second life. I would never do you dirty on purpose.

But I also understand that intentional or not, I caused this. I take full responsibility for what happened. I sincerely apologize for even speaking off topic in your thread. I merely wanted to share something I found cool.

Send a direct/private message to Blu Titan, Deciazulado, or Marwin and see if they can help

I will assume the old thread will be cleaned up, a bunch of the crap deleted, some posters read the riot act, and it will reopen soon.

Yeah this is usually how it goes when this happens. Looks like it's being cleaned up already.

It will likely be opened back up after a cooling off period if history holds any clues. Though it's unfortunate that some people got the thread closed even if it's only for a little while.

This is part of Blu-ray Forum > Movies > Blu-ray Movies - North America > Studios and Distributors. Go to the thread head at https://forum.blu-ray.com/forumdisplay.php?f=182. Down towards the bottom of the page you will see the # of Moderators as well as names shown as links to their Profile page. To me that has been the easiest way to find out "the best way to find/ contact the moderator/ Admin for the site?"

To make a long story short I brought up The Super Mario Bros 1986 movie getting a cleanup on an internet copy and a serious thing broke out over the values and merits of restoring film. The whole forum derailed.

You've done nothing wrong. The misinformed trolls who latched onto the discussion were to blame! Onwards and upwards.

Perhaps it would have been better to just threadban the people involved until they could let go and relax enough to not continue the off topic argument.

Regardless of the various things that have been discussed this past day here (!) Thunderbean is still moving forward with our new titles and things are working pretty good! Aesop’s Fables is mastered and I’m working on the other Betty Boop set— details tomorrow on cartoon research!

Thunderban sounds like some sort of 70s deodorant or surfing equipment...

School has been fast and furious here today-- as the day flies by. I'm looking forward to being done for the day and both testing the Aesops burn as well as writing tonight's Thunderbean Thursday... or Thunderbanned Thursday!

Even with the issues of earlier this week, I am somewhat enjoying the environment we have right now, still keeping excited about the projects and keeping informed!

Excited to be getting Fables soon and learning about the new Betty set tomorrow!
