Default Fox's The Endgame

Loving this Morena Baccarin show so far but trying not to get too attached because it's on Fox and I doubt any network loves canceling shows as much as they do lol.

It's clearly designed to target the audience for The Blacklist which used to be a decent show but is well past its best now. Spader is the only thing worth watching in the show now.

Morena Baccarin is decent and the setup in the banks is well done I'm just afraid of how long it can last with her being locked up.

The only thing I don't really like is the FBI agents the main one is just annoying and her partner just seems dopey. Their boss seems to be based entry-level manager in a supermarket on a constant power trip.

It's fun, & I can see The Blacklist comparisons, but it reminds me of something else. I just can't remember what! There was another show or movie where people investigated one thing & it always led to something bigger.

Anyhoo, I'm mainly watching it for Morena Baccarin. Gorgeous as ever. Pity they had her change out of that blue outfit, she looked absolutely amazing.

I am a little confused about her husband. He's supposed to be dead, but actually he's in prison & apparently nobody had taken a picture of him or run his fingerprints in there? Or did I miss something?

I was wondering when a thread would appear.

I'm watching it for Morena and it does remind me of The Blacklist.

It's a decent show and like James Spader in Blacklist, Morena Baccarin is the ONLY reason I'm watching this show.

This James Spader carries the show although it was decent in the early seasons but got so complicated and ridiculous no one knows what the truth is.

This is almost like a soft reboot, Russian criminal mastermind works with a government department solving crimes while furthering their own agenda. I just hope that the FBI agent's husband and his connection to Morena's husband don't spiral out like Red's story in the Blacklist.

It might be me but this looks better than the other show production wise but I can see this positioned as a replacement show once the other one finishes.

Agree about the husband I thought I just must've missed something.

I totally agree about Red's storyline spiraling completely out of control or sense. Sometimes the simplest solution is the best, Red should have been Liz's father.

I think it was renewed just to have more content for Peacock, the show is really bad now but I keep watching. Dembe joining the FBI was stupid beyond belief. Also Aram turning down all the Silicon Valley money what an idiot!

I think that they painted themselves into a corner then they came up with various theories but like you say the simplest is usually the best. I'm not American but I'm not sure a known terrorist could just join an off-book FBI task force.

Has it changed network?

This is the only thing I'm worried about The Endgame that they actually have a plan and don't resort to making it up as they go along with twists just because.

I imagine they have a plan for the first season (well, maybe half the first season). If it's a hit, they'll just start making **** up as they go to drag it out a long as possible.

If this were a Fox series, it would have been cancelled and replaced by a Gordon Ramsey series before this thread was started.

Isn't it great that How I Met Your Mother filmed the final scenes of the final episode in the First Season because you can't stop aging! The showrunners actually planned and thought out the finale in advance.

And for the actors to keep it a secret for all those years.

Bye Bye

Why can't for once the bad guys ride off in the sunset and win....at least for Season 1. Ending was stupid..

My biggest complaint about Law Abiding Citizen is that the Gerard Butler character doesn't win.

Peppermint did it right. The corrupt judge and lawyers got what they deserved as did the gangbangers and the police [especially Det. Beltran] ultimately appreciated what Riley did. The film let Riley win.

I guess because they hoped Season 2 was coming? But yes, they could quite easily have lopped off the last five minutes & had a complete 'One & Done' show with only a few little things left hanging.

The worst one of these non-endings has to be the Ashley Judd show Missing from 2012 which knew full well they were getting cancelled halfway into the 10-episode run, wrapped up all the storylines, & then in the last five minutes inexplicably had someone else get kidnapped, leaving it all on a big cliffhanger. So utterly pointless.

I wonder if the producers will bother shopping The Endgame round to other networks? I'm sure Morena has lots more slinky outfits to model for us...

I almost wrote about Missing too! It didn’t need a cliffhanger. I liked the show and bought the DVD.
