I guess because they hoped Season 2 was coming? But yes, they could quite easily have lopped off the last five minutes & had a complete 'One & Done' show with only a few little things left hanging.


The worst one of these non-endings has to be the Ashley Judd show Missing from 2012 which knew full well they were getting cancelled halfway into the 10-episode run, wrapped up all the storylines, & then in the last five minutes inexplicably had someone else get kidnapped, leaving it all on a big cliffhanger. So utterly pointless.


I wonder if the producers will bother shopping The Endgame round to other networks? I'm sure Morena has lots more slinky outfits to model for us...
