Default HELP. Need new AVR recommendations.

Ive had my Onkyo 616 for 2 1/2 weeks and it has worked perfectly until the last couple days. The HDMI is not working properly(known issue). I will be shipping it back to Newegg for a refund. I need some help picking out a new AVR though. It needs to be below $500. I dont care about interweb apps at all. Something that sounds real good, 3D passthrough(a must), has a calibration mic(preferred), HDMI inputs obviously. It can be 7.1, 7.5, 5.1, or 5.2. Some recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Denon AVR-2312ci. Seems to have good reviews, though some have complained of over heating.

I bought a refurb HTIB back in 08, got the entire system for 159.00 shipped. It's the Onyko 4100 set. Refurb rec and new speakers. That also included a 3 year warranty, that just expired. With over 1500 hrs of playing the PS3 since 08. And probably another 500 or 600 hours of Blu ray and Netflix. The receiver and speakers sound as good today as the first day I hooked it up. I also bought mine from the Onyko outlet. So I would have no issues with getting a refurb from acc4less or the Onyko outlet. Good Luck

Only thing I can say is that I had a good experience and would do it again.

I've had my Onkyo 1009 refurb I bought from A4L for a few months now and have had zero issues with it. I'm sure there are some people out there that have had bad experiences.... as with brand new product also , it happens.

I am leaning towards a Marantz SR5006.

Anyone have any opinions on this?
