Cool Finally saw blu-ray in the flesh.

Sunday I walk into Circuit City with my brother and we look around for a while. Before I left, I wanted to see blu-ray or hd-dvd in action. I ask the nearest sales person. He walks me over to the display that I glanced at when I walked in the door! I thought it was a live HD feed, and ignored it.

I looked closely and did see what I considered slight artifacting. Overall, fantastic picture. It was playing movie clips at 1080p and it was sa-weeet! Naturally the sales guy kept pitching me to buy it inspite of the fact I repeatedly said I only wanted to see it and wasn't buying anything until the mess was settled. Idiot.

I believe the player was Samsung. Nice looking unit with the blu(e) lights on the front. I was tempted to buy it right there and then based on looks. But ya know....the stupid format war.
