I'm not surprised studios would do this. But I wouldn't expect a blatant cash grab gimmick like this from Morgan Spurlock. I wonder if he was involved at all.

Extended cuts on DVD/BD is one thing, but in theaters, and just a couple weeks after its release, this is basically saying "Screw you" to the fans who already paid to see it. "We had more movie but held it back to try to lure you back for another showing!"

yeah it is pathetic then again if they did the same thing for avengers or the dark knight rises most would probably go see it again and just say I was going to go see it again anyway

This isn't the first time this has been done. Many teen movies use this strategy because 90% of the business they know comes in the first week. Bieber's movie re-released a special cut and I think Katy Perry might have also. Jonas Brothers? Etc.

Only Justin Bieber did, I know because I only saw the "Directors Fan Cut" in theater. I saw Katy's movie 10 times and lol there was never anything different.

Anyways, I'll be seeing this again lmao I got movie cash from doing the VUDU preorder. I'm a little skeptical thinking they might just add in the 6 5-minute featurettes that are on there now which are just chopped out scenes.
