Talking Blu-ray may die elsewhere but not in...

...JAPAN. I think BD still enjoys a 96:1 sales lead here. Many Japs are pouring lots of negative comments in amazon.co.jp on Transformers being made available only on HD DVD. Doesn't mean that Transformers on HD DVD sucks but a little more room could have made it look and sound like the Holy Grail of Hi-Definition.

I'm happy that BD is doing so well in Japan...I just wish HD-DVD was doing that badly over here.

If the dollar keeps falling that Euro and Yen revenue might just be a bit more important

The world market is combined (minus the US) is far larger than the US market. Blu-ray is dominating the world over with it's lowest showing being in the US. If the world chooses Blu-ray (which it already has) then the US must follow.

Some claim that only the USA matters in the format war.

Of course,... that's a fully ignorant claim resulting from wishful thinking.

It doesn't matter,.. even the most head in the sand HD DUD-er is going to know soon enough that Blu Ray is the new standard for home video.
