the US version is region free and is around 15-16 dollars and roughly the same price as uk version once you factor in postage.
so that always an option.
it the US version I picked up when it was on promo for 10 dollars

The UK version is pretty standard, I'd wait for the price to drop before you dive in.

I have watched both and can't see a difference. The UK has a higher bitrate than the USA one. I opted for the UK one and am very happy with it.

DTS-MA too

Any chance you could confirm whether the UK Orphan BD is a BD-50?

Also is it VC-1 or AVC? Ta!

If anyone could post a BDinfo log for the UK BD, then that'd be grand!

Hi

Its a higher bitrate I am sure:

DEFINITELY a BD-50

And MPEG-4AVC - with a bitrate in the 30s

High DTS-MA bitrate

Please see attached screenshot with disc details. I am sorry, I didnt check it - its blurry - but the pic really is good - definitely better than the USA one.
