I wanted to do a poll for this one just as Squid did for the Mist! Both of these endings seem to be polarizing and controversial! I would like to see if there is a majority opinion, one way or the other. Results weighed in heavy favor for the ending of the Mist so lets see how this one goes!

Please vote and discuss your reasons. I love the ending and thought it was a great twist! Got Em!!

I don't think this ending is controversial like THE MIST but I guess the similarity is that it's surprising --

having said that--- I loved it!

Since you asked.....the ending was abysmal....it was a twist used purely as a gimmick just to shock people and nothing more. Cheap thrills (but that's also how I feel about the entire movie). I'm not going to vote that "the ending was horrible and ruined the film" because I think the entire film ruined itself

I vote other, meaning haven't seen the film but hearing the ending makes me want to watch it.

I believe that to be an amazing movie with a very powerful (and heartbreaking) ending...but that discussion is for another thread (I can't believe there's an American remake coming out

I remember watching the Orphan and seeing the ending and saying that was so dumb.... I voted "other" becuase i dont think it ruined the film though... it was just a stupid ending... the movie overall was just eh

Very well said.

I felt the "twist" was all over the place, that when it came, all I said was "that's it?". Not really surprising, given the look and behaviour of the character, don't you think ?

The film wasn't very good before the ending, so the ending was just the "straw that broke the camel's back" for me.

Thats how I felt about American Psycho!! haha! Just messin with u! But if u think about it u could say the samething about AP, especially if u didnt like it. But hey we all cant agree! Got Em!!

Agree 100%. Immediately becomes one of the worst endings in the history of cinema. absolutely pathetic and embarassing.

chalk this one up to another one of those movies that most people seem to hate here---

I thought it was one of the best horror films released last year. I bought it along with TRICK or TREAT and DRAG ME TO HELL-- 2 films that had huge hype that were not as good as I was hoping. I watched THE ORPHAN last, expected it to be the worst and thoroughly enjoyed it. I thought the acting was way above average for a film of this type, the ending was genuinely surprising and creepy. Oh well, everybody's entitled to their opinions.....

I love all 3 of the films u mentioned and gladly own all 3! But I wouldnt say chalk it up as option A is leading this poll by a mile. Obviously people like it but just arent giving replys! Got Em!!
