Since this is such a controversial ending, I would like to see if there is a majority opinion, one way or the other.

Please vote and discuss your reasons.

It was great. I am a big fan of twists, especially dark twists.

The ending was one of the few good things about the movie.

The Mist was promising, but was a little all over the place. Decent movie, but far from great imho. The ending however, was.

I thought the ending was sweet. Don't want to ruin the ending for those who haven't seen it yet.

Yes, its been discussed before. However, I wanted to see if there was a clear majority opinion or if it was evenly split.

What would be better, a "Happy Ending?" NO WAY, different is always better IMO.

I love this movie and love the ending, yes it was different from the book but it did caught me off guard when you saw something else coming out of all the smoke... something you didn't expect....

Question is what would any of us do if we were face with the same situation.

This is true, he did prefer it. I personally prefer King's ending. I voted for the option about hating the ending because I just didn't like it and thought it was unnecessary. However, the latter part of that choice I don't necessarily agree with--I don't think it ruined the movie because I didn't think the movie was that great up until then. That's just my opinion
