This is definitely one of my most anticipated movies of the year. Even more so after seeing the 3D trailer on the X-Men Days of Future Past disc. The 3D looks fantastic and the visuals are stunning. I love this story so i cannot wait to see it delivered with a budget this large and state of the art FX.

I'm excited too. Between this and Five Armies, December is going to be an awesome month.

Yeah, I'm interested in the visuals, special effects and story of brother against brother. And mostly the very promising 3D in this one. The Interesting cast helps out too, along with Ridley Scott behind it.
Hopefully Prometheus 2 3D is next on Ridley's "to do" list. |

I'm hoping the 3d blu-ray comes out before passover. I guess that would be March 31. Not sure they would release it that soon.

I am a Christian but do I/we really expect Hollywood to portray God (Judeo/Christian) in a correct way? Not really. But I'm not one of those who is too uptight to see it anyway. It has certainly sparked enough intrigue already where some will go check out and read how the story truly goes for themselves and that is a good thing. The story doesn't end when they walk out of Egypt...

My only concern was what they would "add" to the story as Noah seemed to do with the giant rock monsters and countless other questionable choices. But this looks like it should be a better film and a spectacle in 3D. I can't wait |

Finally watched Exodus Gods and Kings 3D.
Exodus: Gods & Kings 3D (Filmed in 3D by Ridley Scott's team) 3D Layers: 7/10. Even Mix of mild to medium 3D, some strong 3D shots. The medium shots look really good since this was filmed in 3D. Ridley should make every shot great, but he wastes a lot of potential by being to conservative in one shot, and then the next shot looks so much better in 3D. Inconsistent 3D. Pop Out Count: 7/10 A nice amount of stronger 3D pop outs. 3D Framing: 8/10. Most of the film seems focused on presenting good framing of the people and objects/backgrounds within the 3D frame. 3D Total: 7/10 for the generally good filmed 3D. Definitely worth checking out in 3D, though do expect a consistent mix of mild to medium 3D layers throughout. One shot will be mild, the next medium, the next mild, the next medium, etc... That's the general theme here for the 3D. Had it been all medium 3D, I would give it an 8/10. All strong 3D, a 10/10, but because Ridley Scott likes to dilute many potentially great 3D shots to mild 3D, a 7/10. The movie kept my interest and was generally entertaining, though it was missing certain character developments that could've given it more emotional drive. It was more like a series of events and then characters we don't really know that well (Edgerton and Bale), responding without a lot of emotion most times. |
