It's now up for order on Amazon.ca, as well. It's a little frustrating, though, because I think they've mixed up the Blu-ray and UHD Blu-Ray listings. The format listing that contains "UltraHD Blu-ray" in the product title is actually the cheaper of the two Blu-Ray options, and has the same ASIN as the regular Blu-ray on other Amazon regional sites. Whereas the one listed as just a regular Blu-ray is priced higher, and shares the ASIN of the UHD disc from other regions.

Received this yesterday from Amazon.ca. Glad I pre-ordered when I did, as the price has now gone up quite a bit on there. Amazon Canada definitely isn't the best division of the company to deal with for imports.
Didn't have time to watch it all, but I did pop it in to take a look. Seems like a pretty solid presentation, with impressive detail. No HDR, obviously. |

Got the disc today, popped it in. In a word... out-freaking-standing. Do not let the lack of an HDR sticker turn you away, out of 110 4K HDR discs I own, this is hands down, the best looking yet. You'd swear this thing does have HDR because the various shades of colors, the bright light sources, the detail, richness and depth will make your jaw drop in awe.
This is the second opera I've bought on 4K BD, the first being 'Le Nozze Di Figaro', because I've been chomping at the bit for concerts in 4K since the introduction of the format. Hey, I'm not a huge opera fan but I cannot help but marvel at what the format does with these stage production titles shot on video. 'Figaro' was very very impressive but this just raised the bloody bar. A booklet comes with the disc as it did with Figaro. The disc is in 5.0 but if you have your speakers set to Large, you wont miss the LFE because there really isn't any, just the more realistic bass from the natural orchestra. This runs 3.5 hours long with optional subtitles and has an PCM stereo option as well. If you want to 'not just wow yourself and your friends, but 'holy sh..' them all, get this disc. I'm stunned at how good this looks. |

I'm assuming this doesn't include a standard blu-ray?

No, but the just-released Tosca UHD BD is a combo pack with a standard Blu-ray, so hopefully, all the labels will take notice notice and comply if possible. I think combo packs are a good idea right now, but generally performing arts titles on Blu-ray were single format releases, so we'll see what happens.

Amazon is just wrong. Hardly a first. This site has the back cover artwork posted and it reads "All Regions."
