Default Where to buy 4K UHDs in Manhattan NYC

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but here goes. I will be in NYC next week and wanted to pick up some UHDs. Can anyone recommend anywhere where I am likely to find a good selection in Manhattan, ideally the Midtown area.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I think Amazon operates as a viable distribution of physical media to even Manhattan. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I found a place not far from the end of the Brooklyn Bridge, mind you that was back in 2013, no idea if its still there.

Best Buy. Target. That's pretty much it.

I usually go to Sherman Park. My guy has great deals on UHDs...among other things.

I used to visit Manhattan all the time for years around 2001-2005 and loved the Virgin Megastore. It was a collectors oasis. I would stock up on vinyl and imported DVD’s. It’s sad that all that’s left is BEST BUY and Target.

I want to go to a physical shop and browse and cannot get an amazon delivery while I am there so looks like its Best Buy and Target (not hopeful they will have a great selection).

Make sure you visit the Devialet store in SOHO and prepare to have your mind blown.

Best Buy in Union Square is your best bet. The other Best Buys in Manhattan do not have a lot of discs.

Can easily take the NQR train directly there from midtown. Train station is right in front or across the street depending which way you exit the station.

Bring Geoff and Calibrate my TV. I'm only 90 minutes South.

Although I understand you've said you want to browse the aisles, that aside why not explode your selection and use Amazon Locker?

Will you take them to DiNic's for a roasted pork sandwich?

I always find these types of threads odd. Enjoy the city and don't worry about physical media you can buy online.

You're welcome, Shand. Thanks for the thanks.

I often find it odd when someone posts in a thread to poo poo the raison d'etre of that thread. Especially when issues of age might play a role in having a different perspective about "our" hobby.

Although not so much in recent years, I've often stopped in a b&m when traveling and bought something. Especially in the early days of DVD when I was more excited by street dates and/or when out-of-town when something streets. Tucked the paper receipt into the case. Like a memento, it's often fun to stumble across that receipt years later and remember the when and where (and cost!) of that purchase. Some who've become more inured to online shopping might not appreciate such titillations.

Doesn't look like as an international customer I can use Amazon locker but it was a good idea.

I'm sorry you find it odd. I will be out shopping for some of my time in NYC with my family with physical dollars to spend and wanted to see if there was anywhere good for UHDs. I was just looking for some advice on options that was all.
