Actually, this one is one of the few great spoof movies. Up there with the first two Scary Movies.

It was one of the final spoof movies to actually have original jokes and nods to the films it was making fun of.

Date Movie and it's lazy writers spawned the era of "recreate the same scene from the original movie but add a perverted twist or toilet humor punchline."

Also, glad it's the theatrical version as a very funny joke gets ruined in the unrated version.

This one's a lot better than the Seltzerberg movies, as they got the guy behind the MTV Movie Award parodies (from back when the show was still good) to direct (interestingly, this was the only film he ever directed).

I've loved this movie for years and have the DVD, can't wait for it to get the proper treatment of a blu-ray release.

The discs should have both versions, because the new cut was substantially different. As I recall, several minutes of footage was alternate, including raunchier content that was probably removed to secure an R-rating in the USA:

I haven't watched the film in a long time, but my hope is that the alternate footage is at least presented as extra content, because that's a lot of material to lose in the transition to BD, even if some of it doesn't work as well. There's no reason why Sony couldn't simply use seamless branching to provide both versions, though.
