Default To the Neutral Supporters:

I've been neutral for a while now, pretty much just becuase I can. I've always like Blu better though. Take it from someone who has both, Blu looks and sounds better, and has a better movie selection. There was no doubt
in my mind that HDDVD was going downhill.
But now, with all the studios jumping the HDDVD ship, do you think will be seeing cheaper HDDVD movies becuase retailers will just want to get rid of them? I'm thinking 5-10 dollars clearance items, or maybe even less.

Why throw away any more good money after bad towards a dead format?

Maybe some titles, but I think for the most part prices will remain the same. Besides if people know they won't be available for much longer, they might be more inclined to pick them up while they have a chance.

I see player prices dropping, but not the media.

I think both formats have their good and bad picture quality wise. The best on HD DVD is comparable to the best on Blu-ray. Sound wise your right considering all the lossless tracks available on Blu-ray.

I'm almost 100% that no HD movies will go clearance for years to come. They'll just be MIR'd (Manufacturer initiated recall) back to the studios DC and destroyed or re-sold to online companies such as amazon maybe from there

I disagree, the best on HDDVD has not measured up to the Best on Blu-ray.
IMHO there is not a single title on HDDVD that measures up to the clarity (When Also containing a lossless audio track) Like the ones found on: Pirates of the Carribean 2, Rocky, Spiderman 3, Bridge to Teribithia, Tears of the Sun, DeJaVu or Black Hawk Down.

HDDVD's (vc-1) generally have this smooth filtered look, while alot of High bit rate AVC or mpeg2 BD's have a crisp superdetailed look. This is all subject to opinion ofcourse, but I think I have as good an eye for this stuff as anyone.

I'd have to disagree with your disagreement. lol. While all the films you mentioned look great, there are titles on HD DVD that look just as good. Hot Fuzz, King Kong, Serenity, Tokyo Drift, etc. are all in the same league.

Get out while you can still get something for it.
I never understand this mentality. It's not going to stop working and many of the movies aren't on Blu-ray just yet, and will most likely just be ported over so there really is no incentive of dumping one's HD DVD collection.

If HD DVDs fall below $10 on clearance or something, I'll pick some up. At that price, even if I watch it only once, it'll be worth it. Anytime I buy a movie I consider it a sunk cost anyway, so it won't bother me if it becomes useless in a couple years when (if) my player dies.

Any of those have Lossless audio?

KOng and Fuzz look great, no argument there....but I haven't seen Serentity and TOkyo Drift just isnt' HD-WOW shot, don't know why you pulled that one out. I guess you ran out of good looking HDDVD's that quickly

I agree, there is no sense in dumping the stuff off unless you are still within return policy.

I have no plans of re-buying any of my HDDVD's and even if Paramount and Uni folded tomorrow, I'd just feel I was ahead of the curve on buying all those 70+ titles I have so far in HDDVD on BD.

No, just not going to list all the HD DVD's that look great...just gave a few examples, but I didn't see the "lossless" qualifier.

I might save my money and buy some blu's of that same title to support the new studio support
