Default Help me with my setup- please :)

Hi, so I've been a member here for sometime now, but in all this talk ive begun wondering if my setup is ok - or could it be better!?
I have a philips 32" 32PF9731D/10 - setup with the ps3 and a denon 2808
The PS3 is linked to the Denon with hdmi, and another hdmi cable runs from the receiver to the tele..
I cant decide wether to set the output to 720p or 1080i - I have never quite understud the difference between progressive and interlaced - but it seems to me that the 720p output is sharper..
I honestly read somewhere that my tv was 100hz - but the info guide below claims its only 60hz - :S dunno - cant seem to find out anywhere.. Anywho the ps3 is set to run bds at 24hz - and does 7.1 pcm audio.. which i think it does - sometimes its as if the frame rate is very low though..

I should add that im seated at about 1,5m/ 1,5 yard from the tele..

Anyone have any thoughts or comments?

Link for info on the tele:

your tv has a 60hz refresh rate. set the ps3 to output automatically, it will switch the the most appropriate setting for you, but you can set it to 720p if you want. other than that your set up should be fine.

You won't get a straight answer on the 720p vs 1080i, too many variables and the point gets argued all the time.. see searches

Your TV is 60 Hz, normal electrical , The refresh rate can be 60 or newer sets have 120, yours is probably 60, you need to reset your PS3 to match
