I'm with everyone here, Michael Keaton is great and I'm glad to see him- er- hear him

Somehow it seems he slipped away from being a really major actor; I wonder why, he's so good.

Comic-Con Interview: Lee Unkrich, Director of Toy Story 3

At San Diego Comic-Con 2009 yesterday, we got a couple more details about Toy Story 3, which will be directed by Pixar veteran Lee Unkrich (Finding Nemo, Monsters Inc.). I had the opportunity to sit down with Lee yesterday and talk about his new film, as well as Pixar’s approach to sequels, and whatever happened to that version of Toy Story 3 that Disney was making without Pixar’s blessing. Click the pic to see the video of what he had to say

Here's the theatrical trailer for Toy Story and Toy Story 2 in 3D. Some of you saw this before G-Force.

Quote:
As you probably have already heard by now (if you're a Pixar fan at least), Disney is re-releasing both Toy Story and Toy Story 2 this October in 3D. Both of the movies were completely re-rendered in 3D using all of the original files and will be shown back-to-back (with a break inbetween them) in theaters for just a few weeks. Yahoo has debuted the official theatrical trailer for this double feature and it's quite fun to watch (just like the trailer for Toy Story 3). I got to see the opening scene of Toy Story 2 in 3D at Comic-Con and I will say it does look incredible and I will be watching both of these in theaters come October. Enjoy!

You can also watch the trailer for Toy Story / Toy Story 2 in High Definition on Yahoo

A toy named Woody has it all. He is practically the leader in Andy's toy room, Bo Peep has the hots for him, and most importantly, he is Andy's favorite toy. But when the clocks strike Andy's birthday, a new toy arrives - Buzz Lightyear, a space cadet who thinks he is a space ranger, Andy's new treasure.

Pixar's Toy Story and Toy Story 2 were directed by the legendary John Lasseter back in 1995 and 1999. Disney is bringing both Toy Story and Toy Story 2 to theaters together on October 2nd later this year.

Toy Story's Lee Unkrich Reveals Woody's Last Name

Quote:
People with one name more often than not fall into the “douche” category. There’s Madonna and Cher, Britney and Bono, and of course, W. I guess the fewer the letters, the douchier the person. But there are some people who don’t necessarily go by one name, fictional characters whose creators either consciously omit a last name or just never get around to stating it.

Well, we can take Woody from the Toy Story movies off that list, as Lee Unkrich, director of Pixar’s upcoming Toy Story 3 posted on his Twitter today, stating that “Woody’s actual full name is ‘Woody Pride’ and has been since the earliest days of developing the original Toy Story.” In fact he says the character's full name has been out there for awhile now, buried in ancillary Pixar promotional materials, but somehow we've all just overlooked it.

Things like this can change the view of a character, but in Woody’s case, this seems fitting, especially in the context of the first movie. Even so, the name won’t have much impact on the movies, as Unkrich said that the name has never been mentioned in previous Toy Story movies and won’t be used in Toy Story 3. Oh the mysteries of Hollywood, how I love thee.

HAHAHAHA
So unnecessary.

Glad to know that it won't be in the movie so this news bit will not affect the character or story in any significant way.

The first Toy Story was the animation that started it all so I could only look forward to seeing the sequel to this franchise.
