Doubt that. I expect the same transfers at this point. Extras will be the high point more than likely along with the nice cover art.

If I remember correctly the picture quality is more or less the same on both discs. The major difference is that both have different extras. The Wes Craven commentary is only on the US disc.

The compression's a little better on the UK Arrow release when compared to Shout. I saw screenshots a while back, unfortunately I could not for the life remember where after this much time has past. I do remember it putting my mind to ease that I had the best encode available. I remember Scream had a slightly harder and at time softer look when it came to retaining gain due to a lesser encode.
Arrow > Universal > Scream> Koch ^^^ Pretty much sums it up. Scream beat out Koch slightly but fell behind Arrow & Universal's releases. Note: Scream also had the same color temp as Arrow/Universal unlike Koch's release. |

Who else thinks this movie is one of the inspirations to the recent game Resident Evil 7 since that game borrows from alot of movies like Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Cannibal Holocaust, The Shining, Evil Dead and more? you can tell this movie being one of the inspirations as the couple in this movie are like Jack and his wife to having people hidden somewhere in the house.

It's not a bad release, but the budget Universal release is plenty fine. I remember I bought this when there was an insane Shout Factory sale on Amazon a few years ago. Tons of titles for $12ish, and I bought like a dozen - this was one of them.
SF has recently started to pay more attention to their transfers. They've made a few mistakes (Mad Max, Red Dawn, Road House) but they are bumping up their game finally. |

2. The nosebleed scene is from the theatrical cut on the unrated disc. More is missing I think. 3. No, they didn't & no, it's not, it's just another scream rush job. 4. So, have fun double dipping to downgrades. So far their only decent release this year has been 'Matinee.' |

They released some good stuff last year. Colors was pretty good... Their release of Streets of Fire was good. Both Prancer and Three O'Clock High had good releases. I enjoyed the Silent Night, Deadly Night release myself. Trespass was good release, as was Slither (though I did slam it went it first came out). Scream kind of peaked in 2016, and I would agree that they have been sliding since. I have a little more faith in the Shout Select line than I do their Scream Factory line at this point. |

https://www.movie-censorship.com/report.php?ID=5392849 EDIT: OK, I looked at the DMTH thread, I see what you mean now. Quote:
Shout! is gaining 76 minutes of deleted scenes and a new interview plus most of the TT extras (the only things not being ported over is the isolated music and effects track and a motion gallery) The only times Shout! got things wrong was the Billy Jack Collection (though the blame really goes to Billy Jack Productions for supplying Shout! those masters in the first place) and low-pitched Stereo and Mono for The Pink Panther Strikes Again (though MGM supplied them those tracks).
