I was looking earlier and surprised to see there wasn't a thread on this. I'll be interested to see what all this director's cut entails. Looks like a nice edition of this film.

Agreed. The earlier Mimic BD has been tempting me from the store shelves for two years now. Glad I waited. Del Toro's audio commentaries themselves are like taking a course in film, comic books, and literature and are worth having in their own right.

i actually just watched this for the first time on netflix a couple days ago and it wasnt nearly as bad as ive always heard it was. that plus the fact that its a directors cut definitely has me interested.

I've never heard anyone say this was a bad movie... I think it was even reviewed pretty well when originally released...

either way, I thought this was very good and am looking forward to getting it soon..

Well it took Del Toro literally 3 years to finally get his Special Edition Director's Cut out. This interview is from 2008. Am so glad its finally here!
