Surprised not to see a thread for this already being Scorsese and all.

Now, if only we could get After Hours.

I pre-ordered this yesterday.

And in regards to "After Hours", you can also add "Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore", "Kundun", "Bringing Out The Dead" and "Who's That Knocking At My Door?" to the "if only we could get..." list.

Kundun is out and region free in other countries. Not expensive either.

My copy of Boxcar arrived and it looks great. Wish there were a couple more things on the disc but even Scorsese doesn't care much for this film.

If you are region free Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore and Who's That Knocking At My Door? are being release by the BFI next year.

So, "After Hours", and "Bringing Out the Dead" haven't come out anywhere and "Kundun" and "The Age of Innocence" have come out in other countries, then "Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore", and "Who's That Knocking At My Door?" are coming out via BFI in early 2017.
Anyone know how the transfer for "The Age of Innocence" is? Seems like a prime candidate for Criterion for a stateside release.

I'm pretty sure The Age of Innocence has received a 4K restoration from Sony, because one premiered at the NYFF a couple of years ago. Don't know why they are sitting on it.

This is $19.99 at TwilightTime right now. At full price for Boxcar, I did not bite, but I just bought in, at this price. I like this movie and I wanted it in my collection, but I was unwilling to pay $40.00 for it. It'll be this price through the month of March (unless it sells out).

Anyway, After Hours DEFINATELY needs a blu-ray release. A classic!

I might get this Friday, but I feel like a better overseas edition might come out and make me regret it.

Another reason why I choose not to bother with a region free player is that I'd probably drive myself insane with stuff like that.

As is, I buy a U.S. release of something when I see a U.S. release for sale. It's simple and pleasant, even if I hear later on that there's an import somewhere out there with marginally better picture quality.

Even being region A limited, though, I still go through some of the same thing. I double-dipped on Under the Skin, for instance, because the region free German release is better.

Sometimes the difference ain't "marginal" though Owl, like with Alfredo Garcia. Indicator and Arrow have been whooping Twilight Time so often lately, often in region-free editions too, it is making me hesitate getting any TT disc. I see this is a good problem to have though, especially since TT discs sell very well. I made money upgrading Alfredo, and got a much better disc out of it. Can't go wrong!

Surprised so little chat about this disc. I know it ain't a classic but it's Scorcese! Watched it tonight in a Twilight Time double-feature and liked it a good bit. It's simple, it's low-rent, but it shows signs of what Scorcese would become and is a decent little 70's crime tale. TT's disc is solid, nice film look and no processing or other issues. Kirgo's essay is forgetable but the case design is nice.

It's one of the better Bonnie and Clyde rip-offs that came out at the time. The worst was Little Laura & Big John. I ordered this during the sale but it hasn't arrived yet.

I just ordered this blu ray from Twilight Time for $19.99. I wasn't going to pay amazon prices. So happy to finally have this on blu. My grandfather was in it. He played the drunk eating glass.

I was checking AQ comparison on caps a holic, I'm no expert but it seems the AQ of the German BD is a lot better than Twilight.

Anyone know anything about Sandpiper Pictures? Are they a good label? The cover art is giving me MPI or Olive vibes…
