Makes sense with War coming out this summer. It would be even cooler if we got the original Apes movies on UHD. Well, except for Tim Burton's debacle. They can keep it.

I had a feeling. Great news. I love the Apes Re-Boot films.

Should still look great, and I love that this was one of the increasingly rare blockbusters shot at 1.85:1. I just don't watch/care enough to rebuy this on UHD unless it's cheap and the reviews are good. I'll probably just buy the new one on UHD whenever it gets released.

Will buy this for the (hopeful) Atmos track alone. It was fantastic in theaters and missed on the Blu.

Might not upgrade Rise but I will upgrade this one. Lovely movie, visually stunning and lots of night shots that HDR should help.

The PQ of the Blu is outstanding, so this should be very impressive even with the 2K DI given the rest of UHD BD's improvements.

I'd go for the original Ape movies myself.

Though, Dawn's Atmos track is pretty impressive.

Are you saying the UHD version does not have an Atmos track and what is your source?

Theatrically, it had an Atmos mix.

I think the 1080p blu ray information has been copy and pasted and not changed to reflect the 4k BD version, hence the 1080p cover also being used.

Not sure if this is worth re-buying but the original would be a no brainer
