Default SCEE still owns exclusive Formula 1 license?

EA Sports promises more new IP

Thank God, I would hate for EA to get their hands on this.
I have long enjoyed the F1 games since the original Psygnosis F1 game for PSOne, when the only driver not licenced was Jacques Villeneuve - "Driver One" and Murray Walker was doing a lot of the commentary.

"There might have been some contact with the barrier there!"

The 2006 F1 game for PS3 was friggin' awesome. I can't wait for the next one and I hope this time it's 1080p.

The 2007 DVD wrap-up, in case anyone's interested, is the first one to be on 2 DVD's and as such is finally a DVD release with very little compression artifacts, especially when compared with every other season recap DVD.

"You’re right there Murray!"

Permanently etched in my brain from F1 '97.
