Topher Grace's "Home" to be Haunted (Jason Blum To Produce)

THR writes that Spider-Man 3 star Topher Grace, pictured above, will star in Home, a supernatural thriller that Blumhouse have come aboard to produce. Universal will distribute the picture per its first look deal with Blumhouse.

Additionally, The Maze Runner and The East‘s Patricia Clarkson, below, is in negotiations to co-star in the project, which will be directed by Dennis Iliadis, best known as the helmer behind the 2009 remake of The Last House on the Left. He also directed last year’s criminally underrated Plus One.

Adam Alleca wrote the script, which “centers on a man (Grace), recently released from a mental institute, who inherits a mansion after his parents die. After a series of disturbing events, he comes to believe it is haunted.” An older story on Bloody Disgusting reveals that the man “struggles to determine whether he’s having a nervous breakdown or his father is haunting him…“

The project was initially set up with Wes Craven’s Craven/Maddalena Films and even had Brittany Snow attached to star at one point

This guy just continues to crank out the movies. But I guess when you're just the producer you can do that alot quicker. Seems almost every movie now a day is produced by him.

I hope this is good. I like Topher Grace and would like to see him in more flicks, though I think comedy is more his bag. But these Blum films have not impressed me at all. (I would like to see Brittany Snow still be in it, too)

...and of all Patricia Clarkson's films, they credit her as "The Maze Runner and The East's Patricia Clarkson"?

I like Topher aswell. Liked him ever since that 70's show. And Take me home tonight is one of my fave comedies of the last few years.

It's a genre site, so I'm guessing maze runner is suppose to be a Hunger Games type thing I don't know. Hell the site originally credited Topher as being in Spider-man 2. So they don't do alot of research sometimes.
