Question Onkyo 805 overheating question

Sorry, I have searched, and searched... but can't find the answer I am looking for.

I am looking to upgrade my receiver soon to utilize the HDMI inputs from PS3. I understand that I cannot bitstream DTS-MA, and that the internal decoder for TrueHD and DTS-MA don't matter at this point. I am ok with that. I want the capabilities to have it down the road.

Here is my question. I have an enclosed entertainment center with a solid backing and glass front doors (pictures coming one day). I have a Denon 3805 now, and haven't had an issue. I am worried that if I get the Onkyo, the air flow will be next to non-existant and could cause issues. I have heard many a horror story about these overheating, sparking, and smoking . I don't want that to happen, nor do I want to concoct an elaborate fan system.

Would I be in danger of overheating and frying an Onkyo in this cabinet? I really love all of the features of this receiver, but am worried about this issue.

Does anyone have this receiver in an enclosed cabinet? Less than 1-2" of breating space?

My Denon seems to hold up fine, and would assume the 3808ci would hold up well as well, but for about $1000 less, I would prefer the Onkyo if I could be assured I won't fry it.

Thanks in advance

Mark
