Question Do you actually "re-watch" your series on Blu-ray ?

Hi,

I´m talking about series like "LOST", "Prison Break" etc.

They all run on TV, and are available on Blu-ray.

So, in my case I watched every episode/season so far.
And I would only buy it for the sake of having it.

( I guess I wouldn´t even unpack it. )
sure, PQ would be amazing, but I know all episodes, so why re-watch them ?

How do you handle it ?

Watch it on TV, and then again on Blu ?

This is madness...!

i re-watch them again after a while, you end up noticing new things everytime you watch it that you might've missed the first time around...sometimes i'll watch them with the commentary instead...comedies are always re-watchable for a good laugh.

Yeah, comedies are re-watchable, but hard stuff like LOST where you know whats going to happen and know how this will end. Hm... I don´t know...

but the optional commentary is a good tip.

What i don't understand is people who clamor for Law & Order on blu, or even DVD for that matter. I love the show, and have seen almost every episode, but all its versions are on 5 different channels, 24 hours a day. Don't know why you'd need your own copy at the moment..

Shows like LOST... interesting. I love LOST. I loved watching the whole first season on DVD over only a few days with a couple of friends. That was fun! I guess rewatching could be fun too, if it's with friends. Otherwise, I don't see myself sitting through it all...

I haven't had the chance to "rewatch" a tv series on blu-ray yet. I do own Prison Break, but I haven't gotten to it yet, because I have other movies to watch. But I have rewatched my TV shows on dvd, so I don't see that changing for blu-ray.

I will when I get a chance to own Heroes on blus. To answer in short, yes, I would rewatch a series if it's the one that I want to see on blu.

I have the seen the first season of Lost on DVD 4 times and the second season twice. It is a show that I can watch over and over again. I plan on watching the whole series again as soon as this season ends. They are good for when you want to watch something but don't have 2 hours to spend since the episodes are only 42 minutes each.

I think usually people buy box sets for shows like Lost and Heroes to catch up before a new Season or fill in some gaps. Not sure why someone would re-watch a 24 episode season that they have already seen.

I hadn't seen the entire season 3 of Lost until I got the set. All I can say is how great the series looked on Blu Ray. Far better than the HD broadcast on ABC. I will definetly be getting season 4 when it is released in December.

Planet Earth is the only "series" that I currently have on blu-ray.

If I had The Simpsons, Scrubs, Futurama, or a couple other of my favorite shows on blu-ray, they would be re-watched constantly.

I am definitely re-watching Firefly as soon as it is released. I've watched that series twice all the way through so far...

The only series I have is Weeds and I probably will rewatch them someday. Now if they'd release 30 Rock, The Office or Arrested Development, absolutely I'd rewatch them.

Picked up the Lost & Prison Break blu sets due to the great reviews & because they are the only two TV shows I really watch. To be honest, I still have not had the time to go back & rewatch them, though. Found them both at a great price (30-something each) so I could not resist.

I always rewatch comedy series. But any of the series that are out now on blu ray id rather shove my arm into a meat grinder then watch them once through.

I primarily buy a series for the freedom of being able to watch certain episodes
over and over again.

But, yes, I watch TV on DVD/ Blu Ray often.
