Default Have you seen DBOX theater chair for Blu-ray?

I was at my local hi-def store when they were demo-ing this new DBOX-chair that connects to a controller which connects to your home theater system. They played the airplane crash scene from Cast Away. Moments before the crash the plane was flying normally and the chair had a slight vibration just like flying in a real airplane, then BOOM, the plane went down towards the ocean and the chair was shaking and moving to simulate the downward decent of the plane. Upon impact the chair went in to a wave motion to simulate treading water just as Tom Hanks was. It was amazing, I felt though 2 hours of this coould be a bit annoying especially if you were trying not to spill your beer. The salesperson said you can adjust the violence from thrashing to cervical spine injury mode. The whole thing costs something like $8000 and it works with over 700 blu-rays. I just noticed on National Treasure 2 there is a setup option for DBOX. If you get the chance I highly recommend demo-ing one.

I got a demo of it around 1 month ago.. it's ok.. but i cant see myself watching a 2h movie on it. It would get annoying after awhile.
I think it's more of a novelty item then anything else.. i cant see it being a part of home theater system, unless you have money to waste.

Tactile actuators work just as good as you say that D-Box chair works.

What's the price tag on that chair?
