Default Pioneer PRO-1150HD Home Media Gallery question

Hey guys, I posted this on AVS but decided to also post this here. Can anyone help?

My future father in law recently purchased a Pioneer PRO-1150HD. I was assisting him with setting up the Home Media Gallery. He has two computers running Windows Media Player 11. I enabled media sharing on both and the Pioneer currently recognizes only one of the devices. We can view pictures and play .mp3s on the TV. The issue is that when playing a song (one of the two songs that comes with Windows XP), there is no audio sound. All we hear is the audio from the cable box. Does anyone have any experience with playing audio with HMG on this model? His setup is like this.

Verizon FIOS HDMI to Onkyo 606, Onkyo HDMI to Pioneer HDMI, Ethernet from router to television. By default he has his receiver set to cable/satellite. When playing the audio files we hear the audio coming from the cable box and not the actual audio file on the laptop in the living room. Any thoughts?

You need to connect the Audio Out on the TV to an free input on your Onkyo receiver. When viewing the Home Media Gallery, switch the Onkyo to that input. You are hearing the audio from the cable box because your receiver, not the TV, controls the audio source and, even though you are viewing the HMG, the receiver's input is still set to the input connected to your cable box.

Default Problem with Pioneer's Home Media Gallery

I recently connected my Pioneer 1150HD TV to my Linksys router, but when I opened the Media Navigator in the Home Media Gallery, the Server List was blank. Can anyone give me some tips on how to connect the HMG to my home network. Also, I ran the automatic setup option to connect to my network before accessing the Media Navigator.

Do you have Windows Media Player 11 with Windows XP or Vista?
