Default Help Picking Size!

I know there's size charts out there, but I'd like to get insight from you guys regarding purchasing a new HD TV. My bedroom is about 12ft to 13ft. What size would you reccomend for best viewing? Would a 40" be too big?

Well....from what I hear....size matters.

For your bedroom you're not really lookin for the ideal HT setup, I bet.

I personally would start with a 42" - but that's just me.

This site recommends a 58" if you are 9.1 feet from the screen.
That is excessive for a bedroom IMO

I deleted my post b/c the link wasn't working. I would suggest going a size bigger than you are considering. Almost everyone ends up wishing they would've gotten the bigger screen.

Well that's true. For me though, I don't want anything huge in my bedroom - especially if it's a bedroom of the seize that he indicated. Now if it was a big ol' room - then oh yah - bring on the big flat panels.

Yeah I'm thinking 40 to 42! 46 may be too big... there's no way I could do 58" like someone suggested lol

We had the same limitation in our old house, we had a viewing distance of about 11-12 foot. So we ended up getting a 40" LCD 720p TV 2 1/2 years ago and it's been great, especially for that viewing distance.

Good luck!
