1) Extras same as U.S release
2) PQ looked identical
3) No BonusView
4) No English SDH. Plain English subs only but the font looked better in the H.K version.

My north American version is in DTS-MA 7.1.
If you only got 5.1 you were ripped off

Though I own the U.S version of Rambo I purchased the H.K version as it features 2 lossless audio tracks.

why would anyone need 2 lossless audio tracks? they are the same once they get decoded right?

US is 7.1 vs HK 5.1... unless the video encode is different or the 7.1 mix is a gimmick.

a comparison of the same screens from both sources would be a good way to compare the 2.

The H.K video is encoded at a slightly higher bit rate than the U.S version though the differences between the 2 were minimal to zero.

Need? Nobody needs 2 (unless, maybe they were different mixes. With enough space, I could get behind having both a 5.1 identical to the theatre, and a 7.1 remix)

But, lossless isn't about needs or even noticable difference (although that exists sometimes) There's just a heck of a lot of semi-informed people who really will regard two identical lossless tracks as being a good thing.

If I had the money, I would release a new "Ultra Blu-Ray" or "Blu-Ray for Idiots"

- Every film would be encoded to under 50gig, then I'd have another program add in a whole lot of unnoticable/useless data to fill it right up to exactly 50gig.
- Every release would have at least 2 Lossless Audio tracks, with a new spec of 500khz and 50 bits per sample.
- Black & White movies would be colorised, to take advantage of the greater resolution in the 701 colorspace.
- Disks would cost $50 each (heck, people pay for Fox discs, don't they?)
- Extras disks would be available seperately for a further $20
- In the event of excess grain, transfers will be reduced to SD and then upscaled back to 1080p, thus creating a wonderful smooth look with none of that annoying FILM grain.

Believe me, folks, these disks would make billions!
