Hey all,
![]() I was just wondering how you handle movie box sets in your collection. My collection count is 47 which includes the box sets ie: Bourne triology Xmen triology etc. that I have. My real count is actually higher though since when you add them to your collection they only count them as one. So I was just wondering if any of you put them in as individual movies to get a more accurate count or leave them be as the box set. I was thinking of maybe changing mine as individual. I only have Band of Brothers and Planet Earth, so they can only count as one.
However, I just now, about 2 hours ago, ordered The Ultimate Bourne Collection from Amazon UK. I'll post those as individual titles. I know that might not be the proper thing to do, but posting a Boxset of 3 movies wouldn't accurately reflect my collection count. John |

Thanks John.
![]() That is what I meant as far as box sets ie: Bourne triology etc. I would keep things like Planet Earth and other sets that are actually a set. I was meaning movie sets as you mentioned. I corrected my original post to reflect that as well. ![]() Last edited by Godzilla71; 12-26-2009 at 03:17 PM. |

I just put mine in as a the entire box set. Not individually. I probably should do them individually, but I don't. It's just easier...or maybe it's because I'm a little lazy with it. I've got a lot of box sets though...and I kind of don't feel like redoing it all.

I have the Xmen trilogy, Bourne trilogy, and Resident Evil trilogy. To answer your question, I put them in as singles (exception: Bourne because it only displays as the trilogy - but when they release the single titles next year I will change it to accurately reflect my collection).

I do individual whenever I can to be more accurate but in some cases have no choice but to add the box set. Also started doing it when the Best Buy James Bond set wasn't on here so better than missing something totally. In the case of The Matrix box set I even decided to add another region release since there was no North American one but that one kind of bugs me for still not being accurate for a different reason. There are also some cases where I have duplicates due to a box set and couldn't duplicate a movie while doing others individual. And in a few cases there are some that are on one disc so not a box set but I like keeping tack of my collection by titles and two movies on one disc is still two titles.
Not Individual
Individual
Think that is all of them although I guess the Wallace & Gromit collection as I saw mentioned a few posts up is more than one title too but have kept track of that as one title for some reason. So doing this I have 91/119 titles while adding the box sets would be 37/119 (Actually 36 if you count the missing Bond set the site doesn't list). Being off 28 by is so much better than being off by 83. Especially when there are also other things missing that throw off the number as well. 1) Spreadsheet Accurate Count: 758 Titles 2) DVDAF: 739 Titles 3) Here: 722 Titles DVDAF also causes the opposite problem though. Counts extra features for some movies as a title when I don't so don't think there is any site that is 100% accurate which is why it is nice to keep a spreadsheet or something if you want to keep track of an accurate count. 1. Matrix Set
2. Clone Wars series Season 1 3. X-men Trilogy 4. Blade Runner set 5. Star Trek Original Series all 6 Films boxed set 6. Star Trek: The Next Gen. boxed set of films and hopefully this week I'll get.. Spider-man set Batman Anthology Sarah Connor Chronicles S1 and S2 I count them as the sets they are not individual Blu-ray's. If you can find a picture of your movie when adding I feel that's the way to go... not add it as something it doesn't have the same case and artwork for. Just my opinion and way I do it. ![]() |
