Default My head hurts...help me pick a TV :(

DLP vs Plasma vs LCD
Sony vs Samsung vs Panasonic

I've read so much on these TVs that I'm now in vapor lock as to what to buy. Let me spell out my parameters and I'm hoping you guys can give me some guidance....

Media: Blu-Ray movies, some TV and various sporting events like football, BB & Hockey

TV Wall: 10 feet tall, 13 feet wide

Viewing distance: 10 feet (couch perpendicular to TV ~ viewing 30 deg from the side) and chair (viewing straight on)

Room as two windows and a patio door on the right side which we have shades on but it doesn't totally block out light

Budget: Under $2,500

I love the idea of a 70" TV but I think that might be too big for this room and when I see DLP sets at the store they look dark and shitty :/

I can buy a TV tomorrow or wait until after X-mas. If I can save a few $$$ waiting, that'll work. I just don't know what the seasonal pricing of TVs are like.

I'm leaning towards a Sony 52" XBR series, although the 52W4100 or w/e looks okay...but I guess there's a difference in picture quality? I have no problem in spending a few extra bucks to get a more immersive picture
